CCG issued a press release on December 2 announcing that CCG and Greg Henderson had entered into a new strategic partnership to provide consulting services for federal drug and alcohol testing regulations, with an emphasis on FAA, FMCSA, and Part 40, as well as the new FAA Foreign Repair Station Drug and Alcohol Testing Ruling.
“There is a lot of confusion in the industry regarding the new FAA Foreign Repair Station Drug and Alcohol Testing Ruling, which some people erroneously refer to as regulations,” Henderson said. “Right now it is more accurate to refer to them as a Ruling with more information to come,” he added. “But right now we can help covered employers understand the Ruling and how it might apply to them.”
On December 18, 2024, the FAA issued a final rule requiring certificated repair stations outside the U.S. to implement drug and alcohol testing programs that meet FAA and DOT standards, as well as applicable local laws. Many questions remain unanswered, which is where Greg Henderson can be helpful. He also made multiple presentations on this topic in October during SAPAA’s annual conference, which were very well received.
