Widely considered one of the leading experts on drug testing and the drug testing industry. 

Bill founded the Current Consulting Group (formerly known as WFC & Associates) in 1998 and it has become the #1 recognized brand name in compliance and business development consulting in the drug testing industry. He created Current Compliance in 2001, which today is the leading online subscription database service on all state laws related to workplace drug testing, including marijuana and workers’ compensation laws. 

He is the former Executive Director of the American Council for Drug Education, Director of the Institute for a Drug-Free Workplace, Staff Director at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Vice President of Consulting Services for Employee Information Services, and Consultant to the U.S. Department of Labor.  

He consults on compliance and state law matters, marketing, business development, bringing new products and services to the workplace market, and employee screening trends. His clients include many of the leading providers of drug and alcohol testing services. Additionally, each year he makes nearly 50 in-person and virtual presentations, writes and has published dozens of articles, white papers, and reports (some ghost written for clients), and oversees two major drug testing surveys.  

He is the author of “Why Drug Testing: Updated and Expanded for 2020,” as well as 9 other books on substance abuse-related issues.

Rick is the Vice President of Business Development for Current Consulting Group. Rick has more than 25 years of experience in the drug and alcohol testing industry.

He provides expert consulting to clients in the areas of business development, marketing, and sales training and support. He helps clients penetrate new markets and create strategic partnerships within the industry.

He previously served as Vice President of Business Development for Workforce QA, a leading drug testing third-party administrator.

Brian is Vice President at Current Consulting Group, working to expand products and services, sales and marketing, and assist with business development activities. Brian has more than 40 years of experience in the diagnostics industry working in business development, sales and marketing, and technical capacities for companies, such as, Roche Diagnostics, OraSure Technologies and Immunicon. He is named as an inventor on four patents in the diagnostics field and is an author in numerous publications.

Brian’s focus for the last 25 years has been in the oral fluid diagnostic testing field with emphasis on drug and alcohol testing. He is considered an expert in the science, and sales and marketing of oral fluid drug testing helping to educate and train laboratories, TPAs and end users on the benefits of oral fluid specimens in substance abuse testing programs.

Brian has frequently presented at industry association meetings, such as DATIA, SAPAA, and NDASA, and participates in webinars regularly on drug and alcohol screening.

Katherine Miller is Senior Director of Compliance Services. She is a CAPM certified project manager and an expert in state drug testing laws.

In addition to managing a variety of internal services and key client relationships and projects, consulting on state law questions, and authoring articles, Katherine manages and updates Current Compliance, the industry’s leading online subscription database service on all state laws related to workplace drug testing.

Jessica is the Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Promotion Services for Current Consulting Group. She manages client relations and oversees all Current Consulting Group communications-related services including webinar hosting, newsletters, blogs, podcast productions, and writing projects.

In addition to managing Current Consulting Group’s marketing services, Jessica also manages the company’s extensive reseller services including policy, state drug testing law database, and online training courses including CEU management services.

Jessica has a degree in education and experience as a high school teacher and virtual school instructor.

Sharon Bottcher is Director of Policy Services. She specializes in monitoring state drug testing laws and DOT regulations, drug testing policy development, and DOT support services.

Her expertise includes producing customized multi-state policies for large corporations as well as DOT and non-DOT policies for companies of all sizes, from all states and industries.

She is a former compliance specialist with Health Services of North America and LexisNexis/First Advantage.

Jayni is Director of Operations and Finance for Current Consulting Group. In this role, Jayni manages day-to-day operations, interfaces with clients by assisting with proposals, onboarding, and quality assurance, and oversees the financial health of the firm. She also plays an integral role in implementing the firm’s strategic vision.

Prior to joining the firm, Jayni was a manager in the Forensic, Advisory and Valuation Services group at Kaufman Rossin, a member of the specialized Financial Crimes Unit at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and an accountant with the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

Jayni is a Certified Fraud Examiner with a master’s degree in forensic accounting and many years of experience in private and public accounting, forensic accounting, and risk and compliance management.

Yvette Farnsworth Baker is a Senior Legal Consultant and director for all law-related services, including Current Consulting Group’s extensive compliance services.

Yvette is a licensed attorney and member of the Florida Bar. As an expert in drug and alcohol testing case law, Yvette regularly consults on issues involving state law and federal regulations in addition to authoring articles for industry publications.

She helps produce content for Current Compliance, the most comprehensive and up to date online database of state drug testing laws, including marijuana and workers’ compensation laws.

Randy Godard is a Senior Legal Consultant with Current Consulting Group and former associate counsel of Johnson & Johnson.

Randy is a seasoned legal veteran with emphasis in international law, mergers and acquisitions, and compliance.

Randy consults on a number of domestic and international legal issues, helps produce content for Current Consulting Group’s online state law database. He is an expert in marijuana legalization laws and their impact on workplace drug testing.

Jeremy Endres is a Senior Consultant with Current Consulting Group specializing in DOT and non-DOT training services.

Jeremy has more than 10 years of experience in the drug testing industry. He is an expert in business development and business growth, DOT and non-DOT supervisor and employee training, internal operations, and DOT program audits.

Jeremy manages sales of Current Consulting Group’s popular reseller programs for policy development, state law database subscriptions, and online training courses.

Dr. Donna Smith has more than 35 years of experience in drug-free workplace program regulatory compliance, specializing in Drug-Free Workplace (DFWP) best practices and DOT consulting.

As one of the principal authors and architects of the U.S. Department of Transportation and other federal drug and alcohol testing programs, Dr. Smith is a nationally recognized expert in the fields of regulatory compliance, procedures, awareness trainings, MRO procedures, and more.

Dennis Kerns is a Senior Consultant for the Current Consulting Group and is one of the most respected international experts on drug testing.

He has been in the industry for more than 25 years and has extensive experience in all facets of industry sales, auditing of both DOT and non-DOT programs, policy development, training, and international drug testing.

Marc Perlstein has been involved in the drug and alcohol industry since 1985. He originally started a testing program for a large mechanical contractor in Dallas Texas and was the Designated Employer Representative for a workforce of 500 employees.

In 1988 he went to work in sales for one of the early testing laboratories. Eventually that led to employment at Quest Diagnostics for eight years.

In 2002 he joined Concentra to manage their national relationships with third-party administrators and laboratories, which became a $150M+ department for the leader in Occupational Health clinics. He retired from Concentra on December 31, 2021.

Marc earned his BBA from the University of North Texas in Denton TX. He is married, lives in Richardson TX, with 2 grown children, and 2 grandkids. When not working or playing with the grandkids, he loves to travel internationally.

Joe Plaia is a Senior Consultant with Current Consulting Group specializing in sales training services.

Joe has more than 30 years of experience in the drug testing industry including serving as national Director of Sales and Marketing for several major drug testing providers as well as past president of SAPAA.

He specializes in assisting employee screening providers penetrate new markets, increase sales, improve profitability, and launch new products and services. Joe is a talented presenter and frequent contributor to various publications.

Jonathan is a Senior Marketing Consultant for Current Consulting Group.

He is a professional certified in Radio, Television, and Media Operations, with more than 17 years of experience in professional video production and digital marketing.

He works with Current Consulting Group clients to develop video ads and training presentations, as well as digital marketing products. He specializes in identifying a client’s marketing vision and turning it into high-quality, state-of-the-art productions for use in all communication media. Jonathan is a former production manager for HBO video productions.

Greta Walsh is a consultant for Current Consulting Group. She is an experienced, Spanish-fluent technical writer, documentation specialist, and corporate instructional designer. Notably, Greta has an extensive academic background in the humanities, social sciences, and instructional technology fields. She has experience as a researcher, scholarly writer, adjunct instructor, and holds multiple graduate degrees.

Greta is a skilled internal and end-user technical documentation writer who has created, edited, and translated numerous user guides, technical manuals, computer-based trainings, and job aids. In addition, she has worked with SMEs to develop highly technical standard operating procedures for different departments as well as implement and maintain a QMS in adherence with ISO requirements.

As an eLearning instructional designer, Greta contributes to CCG’s learning initiatives focusing on curriculum development, content creation, content translation, and LMS implementation of e-learning solutions. Utilizing her experience as a remote instructional technologist, she supports clients and CCG in the preparation and execution of multimedia marketing initiatives, including webinar and podcast production.

Previously, Greta served the State of Florida as a Senior Probation Officer. She held a position as a Felony Drug Court Officer in Broward County where she monitored offender compliance with court ordered drug treatment.

Marisa is a Key Account Manager at Current Consulting Group.

She is a management professional, highly regarded for her extensive experience with client services and client engagement. Marisa helps clients accomplish their goals through proactive planning, strategic partnership, and high attention to detail.

Additionally, Marisa assists with many internal projects including the annual Industry and Employer Surveys and management of the state drug testing law database.

Prior to joining Current Consulting Group, Marisa was a Center Manager for MedExpress Urgent Care where she built a successful team and partnered with providers to ensure patients received excellent and thorough care. Marisa completely led her staff of clinicians and office personnel through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Savannah is a marketing specialist for Current Consulting Group.

She is experienced in graphic design, photography, videography, and digital marketing. Savannah is a skilled graphic designer who helps clients develop captivating ideas for unforgettable social-media campaigns and advertisements. She is also experienced in website development and helps clients redesign websites to make them more dynamic.

Savannah is a veteran of the U.S. Navy where she held a position in the Public Affairs Office at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California. Her tenure included graphic design, marketing campaigns, social media, press coverage, publicity and more.

Adam is a Senior Consultant for Current Consulting Group with over 15 years of experience in the drug and alcohol testing industry.

Throughout his career he has worked closely with third-party administrators and their clients to create successful, compliant drug and alcohol testing programs.

Adam also serves as an instructor for a variety of in-person and online DOT and non-DOT training courses.

She assists the directors in the group in executing all publications including articles, newsletters, white papers, webinars and more. She is a content creator as well as a copy editor.

With a degree in English and a background in journalism and education, Amanda is an experienced and knowledgeable writer and editor.
